Adventure Fired His Soul But Love Branded His Heart in Durango

Travel back to the 1940s Ireland, as farmer Mark Doran struggles to find a fair price for his cattle. Determined to do better than what the local buyer is willing to pay, he determines to drive the cattle to take it to market himself rather than sell it for the low price being offered locally.

Hallmark Hall of Fame's Durango is a made-for-television movie based on John B. Keane's novel of the same name. A true story, it is set in rural Ireland during the Second World War and tells the story of the October cattle drive of Tubberlick.

It is a simple, straightforward story, one of adventure, love, money and integrity. It features beautiful music and some of the amazing scenery of Ireland.

Unfortunately for fans of Hallmark's Durango or for those who have yet to see it but who want to, it has not been released on DVD yet. I would not quite categorize it as a rare movie because it is readily and affordably available on VHS videotape. If you want to own a copy of this movie, at this point in time, it will have to be on video tape.
